Bjarne Mortensen

Born in 1960 in Denmark

Educated as Master Mariner in 1982; At sea as an officer in the merchant navy and the Danish Navy. Stopped sailing in 1987 for a job ashore as Operator with a Shipowner.

Hold positions as General Manager and Director with operational responsibility for a fleet of product tankers, crude tankers, chemical carriers, gas carriers, bulk carriers and car carriers.

From 2002 to 2005 Managing Director with a Ship Manager.

From 2005 to 2007 Marine Manager with BIMCO. Representing BIMCO, amongst other, at IMO.

2007 – Country Manager for Denmark with Lloyd’s Register EMEA.
