Seagoing career as ships officer with D/S NORDEN.
1989 B.Sc. Naval Architect from the Elsinore Engineering College
Research and development at Von Karman Institute for Fluid Dynamics, Belgium.
Surveyor to Lloyd’s Register 1990 – 2000 dealing with ship surveys, design appraisal, advisory services, surveys during construction, audits etc. From 1996 – 2000 Office Manager and Senior Surveyor in Charge Stavanger Office 1996 - 1999 and Odense Office 1999 - 2000.
In year 2000 completion of two years studies at European Business School, London.
2000 – 2001 Executive Vice President Technical Division, A/S Dampskibsselskabet TORM
2001 – 2006 Technical Director DFDS A/S
2007 Deputy Director Dannebrog Rederi.
Since August 2007 employed by Lloyd’s Register in the capacity as Statutory Advisor for the Central, North and East Europe Area.
From 1993 – 1996 visiting lecturer at The Danish Naval Academy teaching Naval Architecture.
From 2000 – 2004 Chairman of The Danish Maritime University.
Has participated in the Technical Committee of the Danish Ship Owners Association, Det norske Veritas Nordic Committee for Safety at Sea, Nippon Kaiji Kyokai Danish Technical Committee, American Bureau of Shipping North Europe Regional Committee, INTERTANKO Technical Committee and Nordic Committee for Passenger Ship Safety.
Member of the board for Maritimt Selskab.
