The Danish Defence are to build new ships to protect Denmark’s interests in the coming years. At this event we are going to do a deep dive into the new build program of the Danish Defence.

17:05 - 17:30 New Multi-Role Patrol ships for the Danish Navy by Klaus Sørensen, Defense Development Director Odense Maritime Technology

In 2023 Danske Patruljeskibe was awarded a pre-engineering contract for design of new Multi-Role Patrol ships for the Royal Danish Navy. Danske Patruljeskibe will present the status of the contract and introduce the concept of the patrol vessels in relation to modularity and capability.

17:30 – 17:55 Ship operation in Arctic (Greenland) by Lars Povl Jensen, Head of Defence, Ex-Commander Royal Danish Navy on behalf of OSK Design.

18:20– 18:45 Containerized Mission Modularity – Introduction to The Cube Ecosystem by Rene Bertelsen, CEO SH Defence

How the Cube will bring back the Danish Navy among the most flexible and future proof.
How the Cube will support lean manning and retain navy personnel.

18:45 – 19.10 Naval Ship Assurance and the Role of Classification by Ian White and Yorick Spoelstra, Naval Business Manager Lloyd´s Register

Lloyds Register has a long history with the naval community and through the Naval Ship Rules it can provide a benchmarked against international legislation while considering the operational role of the vessel and also recognising that the navy may have a higher tolerance of risk in specific situations and more stringent requirements/standards to address. This presentation through a series of cases studies will demonstrate how this has been achieved successful on a variety of different naval platforms always meeting the navy’s specification and tailored requirements.
