Carbon Capture Onboard – From Ship to Storage

  • IDA Conference 31 Kalvebod Brygge København, 1560 Denmark (map)

As the maritime industry accelerates its decarbonization efforts, onboard carbon capture (OCC) is emerging as a promising pathway for reducing CO₂ emissions from existing and future vessels. But capturing CO₂ onboard is only part of the solution. To make OCC viable at scale, an efficient and reliable infrastructure for handling, transporting, and permanently storing captured CO₂ is equally essential.

This DSNAME event will explore the entire carbon capture value chain—from the technologies installed onboard merchant vessels to the port infrastructure and downstream logistics required to ensure that captured carbon reaches its final destination.

The evening will provide both technical insights and practical perspectives from companies actively developing and deploying solutions across the maritime carbon capture ecosystem.

Onboard Carbon Capture Systems

Port of Esbjerg
New CO₂ Terminal: How ports can support the emerging carbon capture ecosystem through CO₂ handling facilities, logistics solutions, and infrastructure development.

Why Attend?

Onboard carbon capture is increasingly being discussed as a potential tool for achieving maritime decarbonization targets, particularly for vessels where alternative fuels may not yet be a practical solution. However, success depends on collaboration across the entire value chain—from shipowners and technology providers to ports, transport operators, and storage developers.

Join us for an evening of knowledge sharing and discussion on one of the most talked-about emerging technologies in shipping’s green transition.
